Hunting at the Farm, 2002:

Hunting at the farm this year had its problems. For starters, the drought really socked us hard. At the end of July, we still hadn't been able to plant any seed, which is okay, because any seed we had planted earlier would have died anyway.

For another thing, I embarked on the project to re-side and insulate the week before bow season started. As a result, it's been a constant tension between getting things done on the house and getting out to scout for deer.

We all still had a gas and the freezer was full, so who cares.
