I occasionally take these pictures from the back of my house.
I was writing in another post here yesterday that I've found that the happiest
part of my deer season is no longer pulling the trigger. Rather, it's sitting
with a cup of coffee, watching the sun come up on the morning after. There was
one more set of shots in the camera that I had not processed, so I figure I'd
share them with you.
It's a big one, but I hope you find it worth the wait. Pooh Corner
at Sundown on 11/17/2007.

Why do we call it Pooh Corner? Well, first off, because it is near the shaman's
thoughtful spot which is over on the far left (with coffee mug). The shaman
overlooks Pooh Corner when he is being thoughtful. Secondly, the center of the
frame, over by the big walnut tree is where we went for the first few months
before I got the indoor plumbing working.
Some other features:
Notice the Purple Martin House. It's new this year.
The woods to the left of the walnut tree is "The Hundred Acre Wood."
The hill beyond the far barn in the center is "Gobbler's Knob." That's
where I go do battle with Mister Natural every Spring. To the right is "Hootin'
Holler" It's crawling with barred owls, although some Big Horned Owls have
started to move in. It's out that way where we bagged most of our deer this
year. There is a line of oaks stretching from the tobacco barn out to the back
of the place. That's the remains of the old coach road that takes you back to
the campground.
Room At The Top
by Tom Petty
I got a room at the top of the world tonight
I can see everything tonight
I got a room where everyone
Can have a drink and forget those things
That went wrong in their life
Chorus:
I got a room at the top of the world tonight
I got a room at the top of the world tonight
I got a room at the top of the world tonight
And I ain't comin' down, I ain't comin' down
I got someone who loves me tonight
I got over a thousand dollars in the bank
And I'm all right
Look deep in the eyes of love
Look deep in the eyes of love
And find out what you were looking for
Chorus
I wish I could feel you tonight, little one
You're so far away
I wanna reach out and touch your heart
Yeah like they do in those things on TV, I love you
Please love me, I'm not so bad
And I love you so
Chorus
