TEST #2

Purpose:  Compare generic camo against controls

Click on Thumbnails for the original pics from the camera

In these two exposures, you should be able to see left to right in each shot:

bulletA piece of generic 4-color woodland camo, purchased in 2005, used as a background
bulletThe blaze camo control
bulletThe  highly flourescent hunter orange control
bulletThe treated strip in the middle of the hunter orange control

Description of #2 test:  From left to right: 

  1. Control shot made with flash
  2. Same setup, except lit by Black Light-- notice how the blaze camo disappears. The hunter orange control and the UV-Killer-impregnated strip are both still glowing.

Conclusion:  The generic woodland camo does not fluoresce any more than the blaze camo control. Even with complete dousing and several minutes of drying, the strip of hunter orange still did not show any reduction in UV emittance. It remains every bit as bright.
